Post Author Box lets you append or prepend an informational box on any post, page, or other view without having to modify your theme.

How do I set it up?

Once you’ve activated the plugin, go to Settings→Post Author Box in your Dashboard’s sidebar menu to adjust the settings.

What features does the plugin offer?

You can customize what information you want the Post Author Box to include, and how it’s presented. Use basic HTML and CSS for styling, and configure the box with any of the following tokens:

  • %display_name% — the author’s WordPress.com display name
  • %author_link% — a link to the author’s archives
  • %author_posts_link% — a link to all of the author’s other posts
  • %first_name% — the author’s first name (as set in Users→My Profile)
  • %last_name% — the author’s last name (as set in Users→My Profile)
  • %description% — the author’s description (as set in Users→My Profile)
  • %email% — the author’s email address (as set in Users→Personal Settings)
  • %avatar% — the author’s Gravatar image
  • %jabber% — the author’s Jabber (as set in Users→My Profile)
  • %aim% — the author’s AIM (as set in Users→My Profile)
  • %post_date% — the date the post was published
  • %post_time% — the time the post was published
  • %post_modified_date% — the date the post was last modified
  • %post_modified_time% — the time the post was last modified
