Do you run a large-scale WordPress site with millions of pageviews per month? Are you interested in optimizing and scaling up your enterprise site, and utilizing the latest WordPress features for your content?
The WordPress Intensive VIP Developer Workshop will take place in March 2012, and this three-day event will include a packed curriculum for VIP developers with expert instructors and some special guests.
The training will be very hands-on and topics will include: WordPress coding standards, security, caching, optimizing themes and plugins, implementing new core WordPress features, and we’ll be further tailoring the curriculum based on registered participants’ input for their preferred sessions.
We will not release a detailed agenda prior to the workshop. A complete schedule will be distributed to participants at registration check-in.
March 26: Arrival in the afternoon with a special keynote from Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of WordPress, on the future of WordPress for developers. Networking reception & dinner.
Suggested flight landing time: at/around 2pm at SFO or OAK, to allow for baggage retrieval and transfer to the location in time for the beginning of the event. We won’t be starting the program until late afternoon.
March 27 & 28: Full days of training with VIP instructors.
March 29: Wrap-up, farewell breakfast (optional) and morning departures.
Suggested departure time: We’re going to stay flexible with the curriculum as we know many participants need to get back to work – please book a flight according to your own needs that morning; breakfast is optional. Based on participant availability we may offer a repeat of a popular session or have an informal Q&A or activity that morning.

3-nights lodging & meals are included in the cost of your workshop fee. Lodging is single occupancy. Some alcoholic beverages will be provided at some meals; special requests/brands may incur a separate fee to be paid by attendee.
Incidentals (including, but not limited to: room service, minibar items, spa treatments, or other items not explicitly provided by Automattic at time of check-in) will need to be paid by attendee. A credit card will have to be provided by attendee upon check-in to Carneros Inn for damages/incidentals.

Pricing: $3250 per person, excluding airfare. Airport transfers, meals and lodging (3 nights) included.
Transportation & Airport Transfers
Transfers to/from the SFO or OAK airports will be provided for guests arriving on Monday, March 26th and, departing Thursday, March 29th. We will group the transfers as best as possible to provide a fluid experience.

If you prefer to drive or rent a car, parking passes are available for those driving to the event. Please let us know ahead of time if you’ll be driving.
Cancellations & Transfers
A partial refund (50%) can be given for cancellations one month prior to the event (by February 26th). 25% refund for cancellations prior to March 15th, and no refund after March 15th.
Participants can transfer their attendance to another person; the same terms & cancellation rules apply. Please contact us in the case of either a cancellation or transfer.
